Looking for your next girls’ holiday?

If you’re after a sun-soaked treat after two years of pandemic-enforced misery (and let’s face it, who isn’t?) we’ve found the villa of your dreams tucked away in the rolling hills of Tuscany.

Italian beer brand Birra Moretti is taking over a sprawling estate for 2022 and inviting holidaymakers to spend a weekend ‘living like the Italians’ through an immersive two-day experience at the aptly-named Villa Moretti – and the best part is, it’s completely free.

All you need to do win a spot on the getaway, taking place across 1st-2nd October, is enter a competition on Instagram (details below).

The trip, taking place over 48 hours, will include activities designed to celebrate the three pillars of Italian culture – food, family and friends.

The villa you’ll call home for the weekend dates back to 1400, and sits in a secluded spot just outside of Florence, boasting 18 bedrooms as well as lush gardens framing a pool with panoramic views of the countryside lined with cypress trees.

Designed to give beer lovers ‘a truly authentic taste of Italy’, the itinerary will kick off with an ape experience for guests to take in the sites of the surrounding countryside on a three-wheeled joy ride.

Visitors can also enjoy local culinary delights including a ‘nonna’ cookery masterclass – where two local ladies will teach you to make your own pasta from scratch – and sample award-wining ice cream from master gelato maker Sergio Dondoli.

The final evening includes a ‘highest ever aperitivo’ enjoyed from a hot air balloon, followed by a delicious dinner eaten under the stars, cooked by renowned Michelin star chef Viviana Varese.

A spokesperson for Birra Moretti said: “Villa Moretti celebrates that Italian way of living, dedicating a luxury family home to delicious food, great company and quality beer.

“We aim to encourage people to take time to enjoy life’s simple pleasures every day, and be a bit more Italian no matter where they are.”

To win the chance to stay at Villa Moretti this autumn, you’ll need to enter Moretti’s Next Authentic Non-Italian competition.

Entrants will be invited to take part in a series of social challenges inspired by the Italian lifestyle. For more information about visiting Villa Moretti, visit birramoretti.com or #VillaMoretti #BirraMoretti.
