A man may have just made himself public enemy number one by sharing a 12-step guide advising women on 'how to be beautiful', which included 'be thin', 'wear pink' and 'shave'. Yes, this genuinely happened.

Alexander J.A Cortes, whose bio says he is a writer, motivational speaker and trainer from California, laid out all the ways that women can be more attractive to men on Twitter and it backfired massively as users responded with mass outrage to the misogynistic thread.

Here's Cortes' suggestions on how to be more attractive to 'masculine' men: "Be thin, be able to cook, have long hair, wear make-up, be feminine, be graceful, be sensual, shave (should without saying), be fashionable, wear pink and feminine colours, love men, listen to men."

"Stay classy ladies!" he concluded his post.

Addressing his followers, Cortes then added: "You can use this list to vet women If you show them this list and they become angry, that lets you know that they are harpies that you never want to breed with and that they would be terrible mothers stay woke kings."

And as hordes of angry messages were sent in reply, he tweeted: "Based on these replies, a lot of you poor women sound like you're under f*cked. That is unfortunate.

"If you follow the lessons on the list, you can become a woman that Masculine men are attracted to."

Men and woman alike responded with anger at the string of tweets, with one writing: "Real men love strong women who recognize this hollow sadness as absolute garbage. But good luck with that, bro."

"Are we living in 2019 or 1949?" quipped somebody else.

"Damn and here I was thinking my wife was beautiful without like any of these," tweeted another.

Making her own list, comedian Kathy Burke shared: "How to be a Beautiful Man - Don't be this tw*t - That is all."

Nicely put, Kathy.
