Blackheads can be one of the most frustrating skincare concerns to contend with. The little dots or bumps can appear seemingly out of nowhere, anywhere on your body, at any age, and are notoriously difficult to tackle.

So it's no wonder women are getting excited about a premium face serum which is said to make blackheads disappear.

Here’s everything you need to know about the serum...

The serum has a number of impressive ingredients.

With a price tag of £80 for a 30ml bottle, it is one of the more expensive serums on the market at the moment. However, it does have a number of exciting ingredients and skincare benefits, especially if you struggle with blackheads.

And if you’re a fan of the brand or want to try more of their skincare products, you can also buy the Day Serum as part of a number of sets that Vita Vitae offer. From the Morning Set, which is priced at £153, that includes an accompanying face cream and cleanser, to the Complete Set, which does cost around £310 but includes six Vita Vitae products and everything you could possibly need for a full skincare routine.

How does it work?

First and foremost, the Day Serum includes 10% Vitamin C and this powerful antioxidant contains anti-inflammatory properties which can help to reduce any redness that has been caused by skin irritations like blackheads.

Moringa Extract is also anti-inflammatory with it being antibacterial too, helping to clear up blackheads as well as other skin issues like whiteheads and clogged pores.

And finally, the serum also includes hyaluronic acid, which is known for its hydrating qualities, as well as a blend of vitamins and peptides to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Unfortunately blackheads can affect any skin type.

What causes blackheads?

Blackheads are actually a form of acne and they typically tend to be caused by a buildup of bacteria, excess oil and dead skin in your pores. And this is why blackheads can make your pores look much more noticeable than they would otherwise.

Even though people with oily skin can be more prone to blackheads, any skin type can benefit from using a serum such as this one to help combat the issue.

And while it can be tempting to try to squeeze or push the black dots from your skin, this can actually cause scarring and further irritation, so you’ll want to avoid trying to remove blackheads in this way.

The product has a number of five-star reviews.

What are customers saying?

One shopper took to the brand’s website to share the difference that the Day Serum had made to their skin. They explained: “I've been using this for just a few days and my skin is already glowing and my black heads have been reduced thanks to the anti pollution filter.”

While another added: “The day serum is a breath of freshness for the skin. Its lightweight texture absorbs quickly, leaving the skin soft and hydrated. I like how it preps my skin for makeup, making foundation application much smoother. Moreover, it feels like a shield, protecting my skin from external aggressors throughout the day.”
