Woman Reveals Engagement Ring She Swapped Just A Week After Fiancé Proposed

Would you do this?

Picture this – you’re madly in love with your partner, they get on one knee…and you hate the ring.

Well, this fairly awkward situation was a reality for one TikToker, who was left bitterly disappointed when her boyfriend of four years popped the question.

You can watch the video below.

TikToker @beefinnagain was left in tears when her partner, Patrick, asked if she wanted to marry him – but the ring wasn’t quite what she wanted.

In a series of videos on her TIkTok, she began saying: “Before you start, yes I am a b*tch, and my husband is amazing.”

Detailing the specification of what she wanted for her ideal engagement ring (which she claimed she’d been hinting at for years), she was left disappointed when she was given a plain diamond without a ring.

After getting more than 20,000 views on her original video, she then revealed the ring.

The TikTok user showed the ring she had to ask for (

“This app is so wild, because I did not expect that to blow up, I have like, 12 friends, but you wanted a ring reveal, so here you go.

“It’s a gorgeous stone, it really is, it just was not a halo, and I had told him that for two years.”

And commenters were divided in how @beefinnagain handled the situation.

Some praised her for how she was honest and upfront with her partner.

“If she wants a halo she gets a halo. She told him. It’s her ring on her hand forever,” one person said.

“Proof that men just don’t listen…I don’t think they mean any harm. Listening is just not in their nature,” a second agreed.

“Aww both rings are beautiful! glad you got what you wanted in the end,” cooed a third, while a fourth said: “I’m glad you got the ring you wanted!! My fear is my bf getting me the wrong ring so I can relate!!”

However, some believed the woman was guilty of a double standard.

“Meanwhile if you got him a wedding band he hated would everyone be criticizing him for wanting something else?” one person pointed out.

Hmmm…jury’s out on this one…
