Tia Mowry announced she was splitting from her husband of 14 years, Cory Hardrict, in October.
The 44-year-old actor has now spoken candidly about the exact moment she realised her marriage was over.
Tia and Cory share two children - Cree, 11, and Cairo, four - and in divorce papers filed on 4 October cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for their split.

Speaking on the Today Show on Wednesday (16 November), Tia explained that her own happiness was at the centre of the decision.
The Sister Sister star shared: “I knew when I really started to focus on my happiness.
“I feel like women, we tend to focus on everybody else’s happiness, making sure that everybody else is OK — meaning our children, our friends, our family — but at the end of the day, it’s about self-love.”
Tia added: “When you start to really work on yourself, love yourself, know your value and know your worth, then all of a sudden, there’s this awakening.”
The doting mum concluded: “And it’s not easy. It’s a hard journey, but at the end of the day, I feel like it is so, so worth it.”
Tia’s twin sister Tamera had previously hinted that her sibling was doing well in the wake of her divorce, revealing to E! News earlier this week: “[Tia is] a strong, strong woman.”
She added: “I am proud of her for living in her truth and not being afraid to do so.”
Tia confirmed her and Cory’s split in an Instagram post last month, writing: “I wanted to share that Cory and I have decided to go our separate ways.
“These decisions are never easy, and not without sadness. We will maintain a friendship as we co-parent our beautiful children."
She added: “I am grateful for all the happy times we had together and want to thank my friends, family and fans for your love and support as we start this new chapter moving forward in our lives."
Divorce papers obtained by Page Six showed that Tia had requested she and her ex share physical joint custody of their children and had cited the cause as 'irreconcilable differences'.
The pair first met in 1999 when Cory starred alongside Tia and Tamera in an indie horror movie, Hollywood Horror.
They started dating in 2000 after Tia and Tamera had wrapped the show and married in 2008 after eight years of dating.
In 2013, the couple renewed their vows during a Malibu beach ceremony.
