A heated debate online has been sparked after footage of a student shouting an explicit insult about Prince Harry to Prince William went viral.

As we know, members of the royal family make a number of public appearances with the likes of the Prince of Wales visiting a school earlier this year.

While the video was initially posted in February, it's resurfaced on social media and has racked up millions upon millions of views - as well as thousands of comments from those discussing the 'diabolical' remark made against Harry.

In the clip, which was posted to TikTok which has now amassed over 6.5 million views, a group of students at Bournemouth and Poole College could be seen waving at a series of cars - one of which was carrying William - when it all kicked off.

Someone off-camera could be heard yelling: "Go on Will! I never liked Harry either - the ginger f*ck!"

People, presumably teachers, could then be heard scorning the pupil.

"Oi!" one woman said, "Get in there, now!"

"Don't you dare talk like that," said another man. "Go inside. That's not on."

Other students could be heard echoing 'oh my God' and 'that was diabolical.'

The overlay text of the viral TikTok read: "When Prince William comes to your college."

"Can’t believe he said that," the creator captioned the clip.

Inevitably, people couldn't wait to share their reactions to the video with one TikTok user sarcastically asking: "Anyone got Prince William's POV?"

"This is genuinely gold," chirped a second, while a third echoed: "Absolute A grade comedy."

A fourth quipped: "Why is everyone so offended f*cking hell."

"It ain’t even that bad why’s everyone freaking out," declared another TikTok user.

Several others, however, couldn't have disagreed more.

"Terrible bants lad," hit out one critic, while a second slammed: "Funny how people claim they don’t like someone they don’t even know personally."

William made the visit to the college to support the work of Homewards, a five-year initiative launched by the Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, which works towards ending homelessness through locally-led solutions.

"We were really proud to have Prince William visit Bournemouth and Poole College," said Principal and CEO, Phil Sayles. "He saw some of the amazing work that our staff do, and we were delighted that he took some time at the end of his visit to say hello to some our students who were absolutely ecstatic."

Tyla has reached out to Bournemouth and Poole College for further comment.
