Warning: This article contains discussion of rape and domestic violence which some readers may find distressing.
The ex-girlfriend of Marius Borg Høiby, the son of Norway’s crown princess, has spoken out about the alleged abuse she faced at his hands after he was charged with 32 offences by prosecutors.
On Wednesday (August 18), 28-year-old Høiby was charged with the abuse of a former partner, violating restraining orders against another former partner, filming the genitals of a number of women without their knowledge or consent, and four counts of rape, among other offences, as per officials.
The eldest son of Crown Princess Mette-Marit, who was born before she married Crown Prince Haakon, the future King of Norway, in 2001, denies some of the more serious accusations against him, but will plead guilty to some lesser charges, according to his lawyer, Petar Sekulic.

If he is found guilty of the most serious of his crimes, including domestic abuse charges, Høiby could face up to ten years in prison, the BBC reported.
Nora Haukland, a 28-year-old Norwegian model who appeared on season two of Love Island Norway, and Høiby went public with their relationship in November 2022. It’s understood that the pair split sometime in 2023.

As per Norwegian magazine Se og Hør, Nora recently took to Snapchat to comment on Høiby admitting he assaulted one of his girlfriends ‘after an argument’, while ‘intoxicated with cocaine and alcohol’.
Her statement came after the victim’s lawyer, Mette Yvonne Larsen, told Dagbladet: “The last time I spoke to my client they were not lovers.”
Following Høiby’s apology, Nora said: “I thought I would keep my mouth shut until my ex's statement came out, and then I felt a great sense of frustration. Marius speaks as if this is the first time it has happened.

“He asks for some kind of empathy ‘I'm going to get help, I'm struggling, my girlfriend’ and all of this felt very familiar. He also said he should get help when I left him.”
She alleged that the future queen of Norway’s son had been ‘physical’ towards her in the past, claiming he’d ‘punched, kicked and strangled’ her.
“He's trashed my apartment. He has also destroyed things in Mum's new house,” she reported.
Nora has previously alluded to being ‘exhausted’ due to the ‘pain’ she’s been put through.

Taking to social media, she wrote on December 14: “Sitting at this years Christmas table and reflecting over 2024 I kinda feel exhausted, what a year - BUT luckily it has ended in such a light, I’m in love and I’m so blessed.
“This year has been all about growing stronger. It has been a year with lots of love, but also so much pain.. Pain isn’t all bad. Sometimes necessary. It made me dig deeper, and it made me pick myself apart to rebuild ‘me’. Who am I?

“Who do I want to be? What do I want my life to look like? I’ve changed this year, or maybe I just got more respect for myself. Being more honest, more productive, not caring too much about pleasing others but actually putting myself first.”
She added that she’d said ‘goodbye a lot’ before adding: “Thank you J for making me understand what love should feel like,” referring to partner Johannes Bjelland.
Model Juliane Snekkestad, 30, has also accused her ex-boyfriend of forcing ‘psychological and physical violence’ on her.
The influencer, who has also been in films like Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and Sword of Odin and Home for Christmas, dated Høiby between 2018 and 2022.
She took to her Instagram and wrote: “The last few days have been strange and painful. In the last week I have received a lot of phone calls; messages... regarding my ex's order.
“First, I would like to send warm thoughts to those affected by the case. Although the closest family and friends have known about this, I now no longer choose to remain silent. Because I actually can't keep silent any longer.
“And to answer the clues: Yes. I have previously been subjected to psychological and physical violence by the person in question. Where the psychological violence was most brutal for me.”
As per the Daily Mail, she added that she was not ‘sharing’ her past experiences because she wanted ‘pity’ but because she wanted the abuse to ‘stop’.
Nora also made reference to allegations brought forward by Juliane in her post, reportedly stating: “But as Juliane said, the very worst thing for me was also the psychological part. Yelling, the threats."
She continued: “I see him pretending that this is a one-off case and that he is only taking responsibility for something that is public. It bothers me.
“I also want to say a big thank you to Juliane who stood up, she found a strength that is absolutely incredible and I wouldn't have been able to publish this if she hadn't done the same and been there.”
“I hope that everyone who experiences intimate partner violence finds the strength to leave, because it is very rare that it gets better.”
