Donald Trump wasn't allowed to walk away from his latest meeting with King Charles III empty-handed.
However, the gift bestowed upon the US President by the British monarch this week has set the internet ablaze with amusement.
Parting ways with Trump following a three-dat visit to Washington D.C., which served to celebrate America's 250th birthday and the nation's partnership with the UK, Charles, 77, pulled out a giant golden bell.
"I’m delighted to present to you the original bell which hung on the conning tower of your valiant namesake," the King declared. "May it stand as a testimony to our nation’s shared history and shining future."

He went on to joke: "Should you ever need to get hold of us, just give us a ring."

Technically, Charles' unconventional gift served as a reference to the HMS Trump, a WWII submarine that served in the Pacific.
Despite the prestigious military history of the bell, a handful of internet users have contrived a pretty amusing theory that alleges the King has actually issued the Republican leader with a veiled insult.
The theory hinges on a popular British insult, or slang word, 'b***end'.
It's an expletive reserved for a stupid, annoying, or contemptible person, derived from male anatomy. The word refers to the glans (tip) of the penis, which can be bell-shaped. When used online, the 'bell' and 'end-arrow' emojis are usually seen side-by-side.
"King Charles III gifting Trump a golden bell is elite-level royal piss-taking," one X user joked. "Everyone back home gets it, except him!"
Another replied, adding: "Some of us across the pond understood it too!"

"I can just imagine Charles saying it," a third claimed.
"It’s shined and gold looking (probably brass which Trump will gold plate!) so trump will love it," added a fourth. "It’s also hollow inside like trump.
"A very apt p***take."
The golden gift is embellished with the word 'TRUMP', along with the date 1944.
According to Metro, the HMS Trump was a Royal Navy submarine in World War II built in the UK town of Barrow-in-Furness.
Obviously, the ship wasn't named after an actual person - never mind an ancestor of the right-wing leader.
It turns out, in the 1940s, hordes of Royal Navy vessels were given short 'T' names, such as HMS Truncheon.
HMS Trump was the only navy vessel ever to carry the name, which has no connection to the president, Military.com alleges.
