After a group of social media users caught wind of how much Kate Middleton spent on the poppy she wore to this week's Remembrance Day service, many Royal Family fans have rushed to the Princess's defence.
The Princess of Wales appeared at the Cenotaph in Whitehall, London, on Sunday (9 Oct) to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, as well as the lives lost in all British conflicts.
There, King Charles III led a two-minute silence at 11am, before laying a wreath - designed to pay tribute to his grandfather, King George VI - upon the area's war memorial.
Several senior royals watched the proceedings from the nearby Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, including Queen Camilla, Prince Edward and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, and Kate.

The 43-year-old wore a dark navy 'Evie' style coat-dress by Catherine Walker, a matching percher hat and Princess Diana's Collingwood diamond and pearl drop earrings. She also attached a single poppy pin to her coat as a sign of respect to those no longer with us.
As we say, however, the almighty cost of Kate's floral accessory has since come to light, leaving some critics astounded.
According to HELLO!, the intricate brooch had been handcrafted for the mother-of-three specifically by artists at Lock & Co, which just so happens to be the world's oldest hat shop.
This isn't the first time that the Princess has sported one of their deluxe garments, having previously rocked a number of the brand's headpieces for prestigious public appearances.
And if there's anything we know about Kate, when she likes a fashion brand, she repeatedly comes back for more.

Apparently, a milliner called Isabel carefully created her latest sentimental staple, with the limited edition poppy - one of a tiny handful of its kind - reportedly costing over £500 Great British pounds.
"Each piece takes around 12 hours to make and is modelled on a real poppy, transforming fabric and thread into a symbol of remembrance and peace," the brand's Instagram page explains.
It's important to note before we all start kicking off, however, that the proceeds from the poppies are immediately donated to the Royal British Legion.
Despite this, however, after clocking onto the cost of the brooch, several social media users have voiced their outrage.
"Her money comes from the tax payer. That's a crazy amount of money to pay for a little poppy," one hit out, while another continued: "Thing is, it’s not a fashion competition. It’s an act of remembrance."

"It does seem a bit ridiculous for something she will only wear for a couple of hours, tops. Bet it won't come out again next year!" another wrote.
Thankfully for Kate, however, several royal fans immediately rushed to her defence, pointing out that, not only is the Princess supporting a local British business, but the proceeds go to charity.
One wrote: "So many soulless people who believe that art should be torn down and creatives not given opportunities. All bl^oody Bolsheviks!"
"There are woman all round the UK who crochet or make Poppies to sell and the money goes to the Charity I think it’s a lovely gesture and they can be worn every year," a second pointed out. "It was lovely that P Catherine made this gesture."
"I think so too," a third agreed. "It helps the charity and it gives the creator some exposure too."
