Kate Middleton ‘teaches Meghan Markle lesson’ as major difference in their Christmas cards is spotted

One 'major difference' has been spotted in the royal Christmas cards, as Kate Middleton teaches Meghan Markle an important 'lesson'.

The Sussexes were the first of the royals to release their annual Christmas card - but it wasn't without controversy.

Harry and Meghan's card featured six snaps of the family from throughout the year, and a message which read: "On behalf of the office of Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Archewell Productions and Archewell Foundation.

"We wish you a very happy holiday season and a joyful new year."

In contrast, the Wales’ card features a family photo of Prince William, Princess Kate, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis in Norfolk.

Users on social media called out Harry and Meghan for the obvious American-spin on their well wishes.

GB News presenter Ben Leo wrote on social media: "Harry and Meghan send out their Christmas cards - without the word ‘Christmas’ anywhere."

But one person believes they spotted a 'major difference' between the two cards.

The Mail's columnist Amanda Platell, observed the 'vital lesson' that Meghan was being taught from William and Kate's Christmas card.

She said: "What a contrast with the one image the Princess of Wales released for the Wales's card, a snap taken from the poignant video she made earlier this year with her family in Norfolk when she revealed she had completed her chemotherapy and was 'doing well'.

"It's of Kate and William and the kids in their 'safe place', their getaway home in Norfolk."

She also said the card from across the pond felt 'forced', as many have accused the couple's card of being 'staged'.

She added: "In many ways it shows the difference between the two sides of the family.

"As Harry and Meghan's popularity in the US plummets – and Kate's soars, even being nominated for Time magazine's Person of the Year – everything they do is starting to have an air of desperation, of being forced."

The columnist noted that there was a hidden message lying in the family-of-five's card, and it was one of simplicity.

Platell wrote: "In that one simple picture of our future Queen surrounded by her young family, Kate has taught Meghan a vital lesson: How to be classy at Christmas."

Ouch.

Users online were frustrated with their pair for continuing to use their royal titles on the card.

One said: "I don’t understand how you can milk royal titles and yet having nothing to do with anything royal."
