A Brazilian psychic dubbed the 'Living Nostradamus' has issued an eerie prophecy about the outcome of Donald Trump kidnapping Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro.

The US President, 79, shocked the world when he had Maduro and his wife, First Lady Cilia Flores, seized for 'narco-terrorism' offences on Saturday (3 January) following strikes on the country.

They have since been indicted in New York, where they have been charged with conspiracy to commit narco-terrorism and import cocaine, possession of machine guns and destructive devices, in addition to conspiracy to possess machine guns and destructive devices against the US.

Meanwhile, Trump said in a press conference that American will 'run' Venezuela until there is a 'proper' handover of power, but it's unclear exactly what's next for the South American nation.

As we say, Athos Salomé, who earned the nickname 'Living Nostradamus' thanks to his eerily accurate prophecies, has weighed in on the matter and shared his prediction for what we could see happening in the not-so-distant future.

Speaking to Tyla, the 38-year-old influencer and seer, who claims to have accurately predicted the death of Queen Elizabeth II and the Covid-19 pandemic, thinks the situation won't be over any time soon.

He said: "The scenario is one of protracted stalemate, with a very high probability of lasting between two and six months."

The prophet added that there will be 'no rapid resolution or automatic release of Maduro' and instead the procedure 'will continue to be judicialized in the United States and quiet negotiations will occur behind closed doors'.

He continued: "The prevailing pattern is that Maduro will be detained or legally neutralised through 2026. The US then will try to gradually push a political reordering over the longer term, without having to conduct a direct military aggression with enormous diplomatic and military costs.

"Oil and gold will be the main goals. Energy is the key negotiating tool to reach, negotiate, and stabilise a possible new system in Venezuela."

Salomé said that sanctions will be 'recalibrated, not abolished, to be used as leverage for control and negotiation, not in place of wholesale punishment'.

"I see no signs of a military intervention, nor of a sudden fall of the government. The American strategy continues to rely on sanctions, diplomatic isolation and discreet talks, generating little effect for now,” he added.

The psychic also issuing a worrying warning, as he said: "There is a medium likelihood of direct or indirect retaliation beyond Venezuelan territory - possible cyberattacks, financial tensions and specific logistical events as examples - common features of asymmetric conflicts in forced transition phases."

He also claims that Trump's actions indicate 'an earthquake of structural changes in how the United States has dealt with regimes seen as hostile in Latin America'.

Salomé said: "There’s nothing happening in Venezuela that is the end of Chavismo, but the removal of its central figure, while Nicolás Maduro gives in to a strategy of isolation."

For context, Chavismo is the left-wing populist political ideology named after dead socialist leader Hugo Chavez.

"The power structure, the institutions and apparatus of the state that govern it still exist, and Nicolás Maduro retreats into strategic isolation," Salomé predicts.

He summarised: "In summary, 2026 is shaping up as a year of Venezuelan crisis marked by gradual decline, internal tensions and the exposure of illegal schemes, but without a collapse of power on the horizon."

So, it looks like if the predictions are anything to go by, we could be in for some serious world changes...
