A personal letter from Melania Trump, the First Lady of the United States, to Vladimir Putin has been revealed to the public.
The letter in question was hand-delivered to the Russian President at the Trump-Putin summit in Alaska last week on Friday (15 August), where the two world leaders reportedly explored the economic trade-offs the US can make with Russia to facilitate a ceasefire and a peace agreement.
According to The Telegraph, one of these economic incentives that Trump wanted to offer Putin to encourage him to end the three-and-a-half-year war in Ukraine included opening up access to the rare earth minerals in the Ukrainian territories Moscow partially occupies.
Shared to Melania's official FLOTUS Instagram account on Sunday (17 August) with the caption 'First Lady Melania Trump’s 'peace letter' to President Putin', the letter she penned to the controversial leader has been observed, and people have since had their say.

"Dear President Putin. Every child shares the same quiet dreams in their heart, whether born randomly into a nation's rustic countryside or a magnificent city-center. They dream of love, possibility, and safety from danger," the letter begins.
"As parents, it is our duty to nurture the next generation's hope. As leaders, the responsibility to sustain our children extends beyond the comfort of a few. Undeniably, we must strive to paint a dignity-filled world for all - so that every soul may wake to peace, and so that the future itself is perfectly guarded."
The First Lady continued: "A simple yet profound concept, Mr. Putin, as I am sure you agree, is that each generation's descendants begin their lives with a purity - an innocence which stands above geography, government, and ideology.

"Yet in today's world, some children are forced to carry a quiet laughter, untouched by the darkness around them a silent defiance against the forces that can potentially claim their future. Mr. Putin, you can singlehandedly restore their melodic laughter."
Melania finished up the letter, writing: "In protecting the innocence of these children, you will do more than serve Russia alone you serve humanity itself. Such a bold idea transcends all human division, and you, Mr. Putin, are fit to implement this vision with a stroke of the pen today.

"It is time. Sincerely, Melania."
"Absolutely stunning! Grace and class! Thank you for standing for peace, Madam First Lady!" beamed one fan in response to the letter.
"What a truly amazing, smart, and beautiful First Lady of our United States of America!" gushed a second, while a third praised: "Thank you so much for your very powerful letter. How someone can disagree with this?"
However, while some MAGA heads rushed in to praise Melania's 'absolutely stunning' letter to Putin, many others took to social media to share theories that the 'peace letter' wasn't actually written by her at all.

"That’s a lovely letter that someone wrote for her," declared one Instagram user, as a second chimed in: "She didn’t write it."

"We also know that she did not write this," quipped a third, while a fourth questioned: "Did Jill, Hillary or Michelle do this???"
And a fifth even wondered: "Did she… use ChatGPT???"

While a final Instagram user echoed: "You know that it was written by ChatGPT with those long hyphens."
