Critics have hit out at Donald Trump after he shared a post 'celebrating' the death of a former FBI director.
Ex-FBI chief Robert Mueller died on Friday, March 20, at the age of 81.
His family shared a statement which read: "With deep sadness, we are sharing the news that Bob passed away."
Mueller had previously come out of retirement to take part in the Trump-Russia inquiry.

He put together a 448-page report which was released in April 2019.
According to Sky News, it found 'substantial contacts between the Trump campaign and Russia', but fell short of any criminal conspiracy.
It also reported how Trump had tried to shut the investigation down.
Even fellow Republicans have criticised the President for his words that were shared following the news of Mueller’s passing.

Hearing the news of Mueller's passing, Trump posted gleefully on Truth Social: "Robert Mueller just died. Good, I'm glad he's dead. He can no longer hurt innocent people!"
Following his post, one critic wrote: "Imagine saying that out loud… yikes... he has family too."
Another added: "I don't think we understand just how DISRESPECTFUL it is that he is saying these words as the President."
Someone else wrote on X: "Donald Trump's comment about Robert Mueller is extremely harsh. Even with political differences, reacting to someone's death like that is always going to spark backlash. Most people expect at least a basic level of respect in moments like that."
Another pointed out the double standards: "Saying something almost like this about Charlie Kirk got people fired though? Don't wanna hear anyone on the right or liberals saying things like 'Donald was a bad man but we shouldn't be celebrating' when his time comes."
"It's officially okay to make fun of Trump if something happens to him," insisted another.

A Trump supporter though challenged it from another angle, and wrote: "So people who celebrated the murder of Charlie Kirk now have a problem with Donald Trump's reaction to the passing of Robert Mueller?"
Others focused on paying tribute to the former FBI Chief instead, and wrote: "People will remember his work for many years, a significant figure in American law enforcement. Respect to his years of public service."
Michael Steele, the a former chairman of the Republican National Committee, hit out: “Donald Trump you are a vile disgusting man. Petty and pathetic, you are a hypocrite who reeks of weakness and insecurities with no moral core. Regardless of the politics, the American people should be embarrassed and ashamed for ever having entrusted you with leadership.”
