Rachel Matthews, who plays Honeymaren in Frozen 2, has shared a diary of her symptoms after she tested positive for coronavirus.

Taking to her Instagram, the 26-year-old posted a journal of her symptoms day by day, adding that she's currently "doing okay".

"Hey guys, I tested positive for Covid-19 and have been in quarantine the last week.

"Unsure of what the next step is but obviously will remain in quarantine until told to do otherwise.

"I feel better but will be posting some info that I hope will be helpful to some."

Rachel then went on to list a day-by-day account of her symptoms.

"Day 1: Sore throat, fatigue, headache.

"Day 2: Mild fever (100.3) horrible body aches, chills, sharp pain in lungs, started a dry cough, no appetite.

"Day 3: No fever, minor body aches, lungs got much worse (resulting in deep, dry cough), shortness of breath, major fatigue, no appetite.

"Day 4: Symptoms finally seemed to become more mild however lungs remained heavy and short of breath. Also randomly lost my sense of smell and taste. Still no appetite.

"Day 5, 6, 7: Everything has remained more or less the same. Feeling more like myself, still experiencing shortness of breath, loss of appetite, fatigue and no taste/smell but overall, doing okay."

In response to her posts, followers asked the star what she had been doing to recover.

She explained she had been recovering at home, without seeking hospital treatment.

She said: "There isn't much to do other than rest, drink lots of water, take vitamins.

"[...] It turns out ibuprofen is horrible for the body when you have Covid.

"I learned the hard way. My body had a horrible reaction (nausea, impaired vision, dizziness).

"But more than anything, it's a waiting game (again, it will vary for everyone but this is my experience."

Regarding the use of ibuprofen while suffering from coronavirus, today the NHS advised using paracetamol only (unless your doctor has told you paracetamol is not suitable for you).

They explained: "There is currently no strong evidence that ibuprofen can make coronavirus worse. But until we have more information, take paracetamol to treat the symptoms of coronavirus, unless your doctor has told you paracetamol is not suitable for you.

"If you are already taking ibuprofen or another non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) on the advice of a doctor, do not stop taking it without checking first."
