Mum spends weeks waking up at 6am to try find Prime energy drink for her daughter

The 42-year-old NHS worker has been getting up at 6am to try and hunt down a bottle of Prime for her nine-year-old daughter, Jessie.

The energy drink, which is the latest venture from influencers KSI and Logan Paul, has been sold out for three weeks at Lisa’s local ASDA, but she was finally able to get her hands on two bottles - and her daughter’s reaction is priceless.

Demand for the £2 drink has been pretty high among teenagers, with reports of bottles being listed for as much as £10,000 on eBay.

Eventually, Lisa got lucky and managed to scoop up a couple of bottles when they were being restocked at 6:45am.

Before handing her daughter her surprise, she first blindfolded her and made her guess what the object in her hands was.

Jessie correctly guessed the first item was a banana and the second a hair clip, but when handed her bottle of Prime, however, she thought it was water.

She could barely contain her excitement when she took off the blindfold and saw what she was actually holding.

Lisa explained: "I wanted to make it a big deal – I wanted to shock her. It’s what you do for your kids. I was just beaming with pride with the way she reacted.

"She'd given up looking - she said she was going to put it on her list for Santa!"

But Lisa wasn't alone in her mission to secure the energy drink, with husband Stuart, 40, also lending a hand.

And Jessie had no idea her mum was planning to surprise her with the drink - with Lisa explaining: "She just thought I was going to work. She never knew that I was going to get them. I was always going to surprise her with them."

KSI even tweeted about Lisa's surprise for Jessie - writing: "This is honestly one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen."

Lisa said of the influencer’s tweet: "I found out that KSI had tweeted about it, and I can't wait to tell Jessie about that too!"
