Three children reported missing after a trip to Thorpe Park have been found in London.

A 14-year-old girl named only as Khandi was with two younger children Amelia, nine, and Malik, seven, at the theme park in Surrey on Monday (17 June), but the trio were reported missing at 7pm.

Surrey Police previously announced the news that a search was underway, saying in a press release: "We are appealing for help in finding three missing children, who were last seen earlier yesterday evening (17 June).

"Officers are currently out searching for Khandi, 14, Amelia, 9, and Malik, 7, who were reported missing just after 7pm after a day out at Thorpe Park in #Chertsey."

The force shared detailed descriptions of each of the youngsters and what they were wearing when they were last seen, continuing: "Khandi is described as female, Black, 160cm tall, of a slim build and was wearing black or grey jogging bottoms, a white top, white trainers, black framed glasses, and multiple bracelets on each wrist."

The two youngest children are related, with Amelia described as 'female, European, 110cm tall, of a slim build' and wearing grey jogging bottoms, a grey long-sleeved top with 'Believe' written on it and white trainers.

Malik is described as 'male, European, 110cm tall, of a slim build' and was last seen wearing 'black jogging bottoms, black trainers, and a green long-sleeved top with stripes'.

Appealing to the public, Surrey Police added: "If you have seen these three children, or have any information as to their whereabouts, please contact us quoting PR/45240068376."

Since then, Surrey Police have released another press release earlier this afternoon and confirmed the news that all three children, who all know one another, travelled from Surrey to Milton Keynes after a planned day out at the park before they were found in London.

North Surrey Detective Superintendent Trevor Struthers said: "We appreciate the concern that this incident caused, especially given the children’s ages and the fact that they were missing overnight.

"Our officers and staff have worked tirelessly to locate the three of them and we are all relieved that they have been found safe.

"We have received a huge amount of information and support from both the public and the media and we would like to thank everyone who provided information and shared our appeal."
