A devastating wildfire broke out on Tuesday (7 January) in Pacific Palisades, California, and was rapidly spread in incredibly dry conditions and high winds.

Fire chief Kristin Crowley has since ordered more than 30,000 people to evacuate the area, with the roaring blaze spread from 20 acres to more than 3,000 in a mere matter of hours.

The 78-year-old Schitt's Creek actor, married to screenwriter Deborah Divine, has been a long-time resident of the affluent LA neighbourhood after reportedly buying his home for $2.4 million nearly two decades ago back in 2006.

Speaking about the wildfire to the LA Times, Levy said: "The smoke looked pretty black and intense over Temescal Canyon. I couldn’t see any flames, but the smoke was very dark."

Casino star James Woods has taken to X to share a series of snaps of how the wildfire has destroyed his neighbourhood, writing in one tweet: "To all the wonderful people who’ve reached out to us, thank you for being so concerned.

"Just letting you know that we were able to evacuate successfully. I do not know at this moment if our home is still standing, but sadly houses on our little street are not."
