A former X Factor contestant who hit a social media influencer with her car outside of a London nightclub has been charged with attempted murder.
Gabrielle Carrington appeared on the British competition series back in 2013 as part of the girl band, Miss Dynamix.
The Manchester local made it all the way through to the third week of live shows before being knocked out by judges.
In the years since, Carrington, 29, has forged a career for herself as a content creator, boasting over 360,000 followers on Instagram, where she goes by the username @rielleUK.
Earlier today (21 Apr), however, she received several charges after allegedly running down a fellow influencer with her car.
The 29-year-old has been charged with attempted murder (Instagram/@rielleuk) The incident reportedly unfolded in the early hours of Sunday morning (19 Apr), when Instagram star and TikToker Klaudia Zakrzewska stepped out of Inca nightclub in Soho, central London.
The online star, known by the username @klaudiaglam, was struck by Carrington's vehicle before it ploughed into another woman in her 30s and a man in his 50s, who'd been unlocking his e-scooter nearby.
The influencer currently remains in the hospital in critical condition, while the other woman was treated on the scene for minor injuries. The male victim also sustained life-changing injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The trio were hit on Argyll Street, close to both Oxford Circus tube station and the London Palladium, at around 4.30am.
Zakrzewska remains in critical conditon Carrington is still being remanded in custody ahead of her first appearance at Westminster Magistrates' Court.
She has been charged with attempted murder, grievous bodily harm with intent, actual bodily harm and driving under the influence.
DCI Alison Foxwell of Specialist Crime South told the press: "As our enquiries continue, our thoughts are with those injured and their loved ones.
"While this incident took place in the early hours of the morning, venues in the area were still open, and we believe a number of people will have seen what happened."
Foxwell added: "I would urge anyone who witnessed the collision, or any activity prior to it that they feel may be of relevance, to come forward. The information you have - however minor you believe it may be - could be of crucial importance to investigators."
