Georgina Daniels, 28, and husband Tom, 29, were travelling home in a taxi with their two friends in the early hours of January 11, 2026, when the vehicle they were in collided with another car.
The accident happened on Wigan Road in Bolton in the UK according to Greater Manchester Police (GMP).
The taxi driver, Masrob Ali, 54, died in the accident, as did three teenagers who were in the other car, a red Seat Leon. The other driver and two passengers who died have been named by the police as Mohammed Jibrael Mukhtar, 18, Farhan Patel, 18, and Mohammed Danyaal, 19.
An 18-year-old man, who was also a passenger in the Seat, remains in hospital for treatment for minor injuries.

Still in her hospital bed with devastating injuries, Georgina told Manchester Evening News: "I can’t fathom how we’re all still alive - it should have taken our lives."

She added: "I have no idea how we’re all still here after seeing what happened to everyone and the state we are all in."
Georgina revealed that she and Tom tied the knot just seven months ago and talked about the gruelling 'recovery' the pair are going to have to go through.

She told the publication: "We’ve basically always lived together – even when we didn’t have our own place, we would pack bags and stay at each other’s mum’s house for three or four days at a time.
"We’ve never been separate for too long. Now it’s our first year of marriage and we are going to have to live apart with life-changing injuries, with no end date."
Georgie continued: "My legs are okay but my other injuries are going to need 24-hour care, but Tom now has major mobility issues, especially using stairs. We will both need 24-hour care for a long time.
"All of the recovery, rebuilding, the things we will have to get over. And we will have to do it apart. It’s cruel. There are no words to describe it."

The daughter of taxi driver Masrob Ali, Humayra Ali, 29, has also spoken out about the horrific accident and paid tribute to her dad.
She told BBC Manchester: "It’s absolutely devastating. We are all in shock - even in denial. I feel like it’s just a bad dream that I’m about to wake up from.

“He was just a really good man, anyone would say so. Anyone who has known him would say he’s a kind man, very generous, has a big heart."

Humayra added: “People have come back to tell me that he had the gentlest soul, he’s hard-working, and he was very hard-working right until his last breath.
"We are trying to expedite the process so that we can have the funeral as soon as possible.”
Georgina said: "[Mr Ali’s death is] devastating in itself. It was just a short journey and he was nothing but lovely to us.
"I have read as much as I can about him, I know he had a family, and that people really loved him.

"Lives have been lost, lives have been changed. We can never take this back, it will stay with us for the rest of our lives."
She continued: "[Our outcome] changes every single minute. We have both got so many different injuries, we can’t make one decision without looking at the rest."
