Woman shares terrifying warning over sleeping in rings

It will definitely make you think twice before falling asleep in your bling again

It's been a pretty heavy night; you've just about managed to take your makeup off, chug some water and whack your PJ's on but forget one pretty pivotal part of your nighttime routine - taking your jewellery off.

No, while we've all been there, not all of us have had the unfortunate experience of needing to get professional help to remove said jewellery after is simply refuses to budge and nearly cuts off your circulation altogether.

Well, this was exactly the case for one woman who has since shared a terrifying warning over sleeping in rings. Check it out:

The woman, Brianna, took to TikTok to share the cautionary tale with the overlay text reading: "Slept with my rings on after a night out."

The next shot showed the woman's finger totally swollen and red from the bling, with the text continuing: "This is not a sob story. This is a real horror story. This ring will not come off. Any remedies are appreciated."

The next part of the video saw the woman try a whole bunch of ring-relieving hacks including soaking her fingers in ice water, elevating her arm while holding an ice pack and wrapping the bulbous part of her finger in string in a desperate attempt to shrink it in size.

Unfortunately, none of the at-home methods came to any avail.

Her finger had nearly doubled in size.

Continuing the saga, Brianna continued: "For everyone inquiring, no it's not off and this is the worst day of my life. Bye."

Still having no luck removing the ring, which was now severely cutting off the blood circulation to her finger that had nearly doubled in size, the TikToker revealed the inevitable time had finally come: "Going to get it cut."

Documenting the process, Brianna revealed she was 'en route' to seek some professional help over the ordeal and joked: "Any and all prayers are welcome."

After three failed attempts and 'no luck' to remove the piece of jewellery - she was at long last granted her finger freedom.

Big yikes.

"Holy sh*t I am free!" Brianna wrote. "Thank you everyone for following but more importantly thank you CITY MD real MVPS."

She then showed the three culprits that caused her such discomfort before concluding the chronicle: "Sunday scaries are so real."

They sure are.

And the kicker? The rings were Cartier.

Brianna captioned the video 'top 5 worst days' which is totally fair considering the sheer ordeal she went through after doing something as little as simply falling asleep without taking her rings off - something I'm sure we're all guilty of.

The Cartier culprits in question.

The video has since clocked up over 6.7 million views on the platform with over 1.1 million likes and thousands upon thousands of comments from people eager to weigh in on the fiasco.

One TikTok user revealed: "This is my worst nightmare."

"Oh I’m so sorry!! That looked so painful," sympathised a second, while another admitted: "I was so scared you were gonna say you got your finger amputated!"

A final TikTok user added: "Omg I felt that feeling on freedom after it was off."

I think we all did.

Bet you'll think twice next time you nod off wearing your rings.
