We've all witnessed an awkward moment on a flight, when one passenger - usually sitting in the seat in front or behind - does something to annoy another.
But we've never seen anything quite like this. In video footage posted on TikTok, one passenger can be seen plastering chewing gum in another woman's hair before dunking it in her coffee. And people are utterly horrified.
The clip starts off with the woman sticking a chunk of gum in the passenger in front's hair. While it's not explained why, it appears it could be because the passenger had draped her long blonde locks over her seat, blocking the woman's television screen.

The woman can be seen pressing firmly down on the chewing gum - ensuring it was well stuck in - before taking a sticky lollipop, licking it first and embedding it into her hair.
Taking a pair of nail clippers, she even starts hacking away at the woman's hair, snipping off strands at different lengths.
At one point a flight attendant walks past, and while it's not clear if she saw what was happening, she didn't intervene.

If all that wasn't horrifying enough, the woman then takes a chunk of the passenger's hair and dunks it in her coffee. All the while, the passenger seems oblivious, although she does touch her head a number of times.
Towards the end of the video, the passenger begins to turn around and the woman quickly pretends to be asleep. But things escalate when the pair begin flicking her hair back and forth, before she eventually gets up and goes to the toilet.
And viewers of the video were furious, with many horrified at the petty row. Others however, questioned the authenticity of the video, with some pointing out the pair were wearing identical hats, suggesting it could have been a staged stunt.

"Come on thats a wig! Totally staged! You think after she flipped it she didn't feel all that stuff in her hair!" wrote one person.
