We've been dreaming about sun, sea and Fanta Lemon on tap for some time now, and thanks to British Airways offering some serious bargains on their flights to Palma, lounging by a turquoise pool could be just around the corner.

The airline is offering some cheap flights to a variety of European countries, with destinations also including Malaga, Barcelona and Alicante.

For example, you can book to fly from London Gatwick to Palma for just £44 return in September, as well as Malaga for £54, Barcelona and Nice for £56 and Alicante for £58.

Meanwhile, flights to Budapest are just £40 for a return trip while Ibiza prices in at £60 return. You could also fly from London to Milan for £48 return or to Naples for £52.

Greece appears to be a little more expensive, with return flights to Athens coming in at £84, while a return flight to Corfu would set you back £86.

Prices will of course vary by date and day of the week, with the cheapest offers appearing to fall on weekdays, rather than weekends.

However, even in August, flights to Palma are just £102 return - not bad considering it's a peak summer month!

The mega cheap offers are available for flights between September and March and do not include hold luggage (just one piece of carry-on hand luggage).

For trips to countries including Greece, Spain, Italy and France, you won't need to quarantine for 14 days when you return to England.

However, each country has different requirements for when you arrive - some are minimal while others include temperature checks and testing for Covid-19.

You can view a full list of travel corridor countries and requirements here - it's essential you familiarise yourself with this as some countries require forms to be filled out in advance of arrival.

British Airways has also changed its cancellation policy, giving travellers extra peace of mind. If you wish to change the dates or destination of your booking, you can do so without incurring a fee (although you will need to pay any difference in price).

And if you want to cancel, you can receive a voucher for the same value for a future trip. These rules apply to bookings made from 3rd March until 31st August 2020 for journeys due to be completed by 30th April 2021.You can view all offers here.

A holiday is so close we can almost taste the Sangria...
