AirShip002 is officially taking bookings - and no, we're not talking about something that's going to launch you into outer space.

Instead, Airship is a blimp-inspired insulated aluminium pod, which boasts comfortable, cosy and quirky interiors.

Located in Drimnin on the west coast of Scotland, this unique getaway in the remote Highlands will be unlike no other, as guests can gaze up at the stars and out to the Sound of Mull from the pod's dragonfly windows.

Located in a secluded four-acre sight, with just views of the hills and sea, this stay is sure to be more zen than any other - and you can now book it on Airbnb.

The contemporary cabin, designed by Roderick James, features a double bed, open plan living room and kitchenette, full bathroom and common space.

For summer stays, there's a patio area for guests to enjoy a beer, while for winter bookings, cosy boltholes to peruse the world from as you cuddle up with a cup of coffee.

Drimnin is a four-hour drive from Glasgow, while it's from just 30 minutes the local village of Lochaline in the car. Here, you can get a ferry over to the Isle of Mull, where you can visit the quaint town of Tobermory with its colourful waterfront (and the location for BBC kid's show Balamory).

AirShip002 costs £150 a day to stay, while the owner offers a special weekend rate of £400 for a three night stay from Friday until Sunday.

Owing to the Scottish digs' amazingness (I mean, have you seen it?!), it's pretty heavily booked up until September - but it's not too late to book your next autumn/winter getaway.

And if the pics aren't enough to convince you, maybe the reviews will.

People who have already stayed in the pods had nothing but praise for the unique living experience, with "wonderful" being the key phrase.

"The Airship was just the most wonderful place to get away and relax. We went with our wee dog who loved it so much sitting by the fire! Would definitely recommended and we hope to be able to visit again in the not too distant future," said one person.

"Wonderful secluded retreat in a spectacular location. A unique and magical gem not to be missed," raved another.

"A wonderful, stylish bolt hole in an idyllic position. Well equipped and cosy, it is the ideal retreat for anyone wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.. We arrived a little stressed but left refreshed..," penned a third.
