Real reason there’s so much sex in Olympic Village as some athletes opt for temporary celibacy

Real reason there’s so much sex in Olympic Village as some athletes opt for temporary celibacy

The question surrounding sex in the Olympic Village has finally been answered

A dating expert has revealed the answer we all want to know about the X-rated activities that apparently go down in the Olympic Village.

There is heaps of speculation regarding the alleged extracurricular activities that go down inside the Olympic Village.

And after 300,000 condoms have been made available to athletes this year for the 2024 Paris Games, it's no secret what they're getting up to after competing.

But now we needn't speculate any longer, as dating expert Jacob Lucas - speaking on behalf of industry data platform AltIndex - has revealed everything we need to know.

And it seems as though he believes the Olympic sex etiquette is a good thing for the athletes - though he noted that some athletes opt for temporary celibacy whilst competing.

He said: "Sex is a great way to relieve tension in the body and if an athlete is on a sex ban it can make them feel very tense.

"Now, this isn’t always a negative thing because sometimes to compete at a very high level a bit of tension and aggression can be a good thing.

"If you go into some sports TOO relaxed then it can be a very bad thing."

But why are Olympic athletes so sex-obsessed?

It’s the good chemicals going around their body

Exercise releases a plethora of a different hormones and chemicals in the body, which can actually increase the desire for sex depending on their gender.

Jacob noted: "For example, lots of exercise, especially in men, can increase their levels of testosterone which can increase their sex drive."

But endorphins usually improve people's moods no matter your sex, and the amount of energy you have, making it easier for one thing to lead to another...especially in a village full of physically beautiful athletes.

A healthy diet can promote a healthy sex life

Athletes are the Olympics are making sure they are eating clean, which could apparently lead to a more healthy sex life, according to the expert.

He said: "It’s going to help them perform not only in their sport, but in the bedroom.

"When you feel good, you want to have more sex."

Regular exercise is good for the mind

Jacob said: "If someone is constantly exercising, they will often feel more relaxed and in a positive mood which makes getting in the mood for sex A LOT easier."

And on top of that, it decreases your chance of feeling anxious or depressed, which is always a bonus when you're trying to get into it.

Though sex can be a distraction for some

But getting it on constantly isn't for all athletes, as Jacob explained how some opt for celibacy during their Olympic performances.

"Sex is a huge distraction to many," he said. "An athlete competing at the highest levels can’t afford to be distracted. They need to be hyper focused on the task at hand.

"Many coaches will put their athletes on a sex ban to eliminate their athletes from deviating away from their training. Because some athletes are so sexually driven, a sex ban is a necessary step for them to complete their training regime to the fullest.

Always meeting new people

The position they're in as world-class athletes opens them up to sexual opportunities much more than the average person - you would presume.

The expert added: "Many athletes, especially celebrity athletes, are always meeting new people, whether it be through their sport or at social events.

"And because of their celebrity status many people gravitate towards them, and they have plenty of opportunities for sexual encounters."

But Jacob also noted that sex can work as a distraction for athletes, and isn't always looked at as a positive thing in the sporting industry.
