Nick Cannon called out for forgetting daughter while trying to name all 12 of his children

Nick Cannon called out for forgetting daughter while trying to name all 12 of his children

The dad had just insisted he could definitely name them all

Dad-of-12 Nick Cannon was called out by radio presenter Howard Stern for forgetting one of his kids when trying to name them all on the spot.

Cannon brought the number of his offspring to an even dozen when he welcomed his youngest child, Halo Marie Cannon, with model Alyssa Scott on 14 December last year.

The presenter shares his children with a number of different women, having first started growing his family with his ex-wife, Mariah Carey, in 2011.

Cannon's kids range in age between 11 years and three-and-a-half months, and he spoke about his brood when he sat down with Stern on The Howard Stern Show this week.

"You know their names? Everyone's names?" Stern asked Cannon, to which the dad responded: "I can name all of them, of course! Can't you name all of your kids?"

Cannon quickly tried to prove his point by listing all of his children, starting strong as he said: "Moroccan and Monroe, which we call Roc and Roe, Golden, Powerful and then Zion, Zillion, Zen … And then from there, Legendary Love. Then there's Rise."

Cannon managed to name 11 out of 12 kids.

With most of the names down, Stern then called out Cannon to tell him he has 'missed' one of his kids.

Cannon responded to repeat Powerful’s name before adding the names of his five-month-old, Beautiful, and three-month-old, Halo.

Stern then decided to put Cannon out of his misery, telling him he'd 'left out Onyx Ice Cole'.

Cannon shares Onyx with model LaNisha Cole, who welcomed the baby girl in September 2022. Onyx is Cannon's ninth child and arrived just two weeks before his 10th, Rise, who he shares with model Brittany Bell.

"Ah, no!" Cannon said when he realised his mistake. "You know, I did. You threw me off because I was going in order!"

"Poor Onyx," Stern responded, before joking that Cannon's blunder would 'create a problem' with the mothers of his children.

Though just 12 names is obviously tough enough to remember, Cannon couldn't say whether he was 'done' having kids or not.

When pushed for an answer, he told Stern: "Every time I answer this question, I can never answer correctly because I don't know [...] I'm happy currently with my dozen."

That being said, Cannon admitted he would be open to having more children if the right woman came along - he just might have to start making a list of their names to ensure he doesn't miss any again.
