Head Lice Technician Shares 'Extreme' Case In Young Girl

Head Lice Technician Shares 'Extreme' Case In Young Girl

This video is something straight out of a nightmare, but it was shared to TikTok

Head lice are a common ailment in children, and now one head lice technician has shook us all with this example of an 'extreme' case.

Rachel Maroun, 21, is an Australian head lice technician and she has been making waves on TikTok after showing the full horror of an extreme infestation. Watch below:

The girl in question's situation got so bad because her family had all been struck down with Covid so they were unable to help when the infestation worsened.

As the video above shows, her head was literally crawling with thousands of lice and eggs.

However, thanks to to Rachel and a day of hard work, she was able to get her long, brown hair back - and have it freed from the horror within.

Needless to say, TikTok users couldn't believe what they were seeing.

One user questioned: “Why did my head start to get itchy when I watched this."

"I would shave my hair," added a second while a third remarked: "Hell no!

Meanwhile, a fourth shared: "My therapist is making me watch this to try and get over my INSANE fear."

The baby head lice were living further down the girl's hair.

Rachel told NeedToKnow.online: "The client was thrilled from the moment I finished our first section of combing.

"She said she felt a 'massive weight' lifted from her hair and I don't blame her considering I combed out an entire family of head lice!

"She was extremely patient and very happy to have a thorough comb through provided after all that time of struggling."

Thankfully, Rachel didn't just disgust the internet by sharing this example of her work, but she also shared the 'worst thing' you can do if you end up with head lice.

This involved relaying the next steps in this young girl's treatment.

Rachel added: "Following the appointment, I instructed her on how to keep the lice away, giving her a longer period of lice-free bliss!

"I checked up with her one-week post treatment to hear she was completely symptom-free and happy.

"The worst thing to do when you have lice is give them time as lice multiply way too fast and become uncontrollable very quickly.

"The family of the client were left inside with very little materials to treat the lice at home.

"Relying on chemical shampoos and cheap lice combs that had no effect on the super licecase they were struggling with."
