Being able to answer your doorbell via a camera means it's always easy to suss out who's actually knocking, before actually answering the door.

And one kid had a hilarious response to a delivery driver after he rang the doorbell asking for her dad.

You can watch the clip below:

In the clip, TikToker @theoakleys explains: "When your 5yr daughter answers the ring doorbell."

The delivery man can be seen standing in front of the doorbell, before the little one answers it and says hello.

"Hello," he replies.

"I've got something for your daddy."

The little girl tells the man to 'just put it down' before he adds: "I've got some money here as well."

"Okay just put it down," she responds.

The man then asks the girl if she's going to come to the door, but she explains the family are on holiday.

"Oh you're on holiday... could you do me a favour and ring your daddy up and tell him I'm here?"

The sassy five-year-old tells the driver she will and a little while later - while the man is in his van - she appears on the doorbell again asking: "When are you going? Excuse me can I talk to you a minute?

"Erm, excuse me? Bye bye..."

The little one could be heard answering the doorbell.

One person wrote: "I’m crying this is hilarious 'put it down'."

While another said: "‘When are you going’ this really made me laugh."

And a third added: "This has made my night she’s so good to know not to talk to strangers! 'Put it down - We’re on holiday'."

Meanwhile a fourth commented: “'When are you going'. Excuseseeeee meee, bah bye. Haha what a treasure."

“'When are u going' I’m sure we all get guests we would like to ask that," to which the TikToker responded: "I know right, I’ve wanted to say that to people many a time!"

The little one asks the driver when he's going.

And a sixth wrote: "She had sense not to open the door to strangers... well done. This is what I teach my kids to do."

Another agreed, adding: "Well done for not opening the door."

The TikToker later answered in the comments that the dad did eventually get his parcel, arriving home not long afterwards.

"He arrived shortly after," they wrote.
