Woman Claims 'Wine Wand' Leaves Her 'Hangover-Free'

Your new night-out essential.

People's minds are blown after learning there's a super simple trick to prevent their hangovers and headaches after a night of drinking wine.

According to TikTok creator @chiaseed_o, all you'll need is a 'wine wand' to keep you feeling fresh and hangover-free the morning after.

Demonstrating how the wine wand works, the TikToker posted a video with the caption: "Forever ditching sulfites & wine headaches". You can watch her video here:

And it turns out this TikTok creator isn't the only one who swears by the little wine wand, either.

Other viewers were eager to comment when they spotted the video, claiming that the tool had worked for them, too.

"Those are made from heaven. I love wine but get blazing migraines from it. These actually work!!!" commented one user.

"CHANGED MY LIFE 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼" gushed a second.

"Yes!!!! I have those. So cool 🍷" raved a third.

Plenty of TikTok users swear by the wine wand. (

So, how does it work?

Sandra Parker of Just The Tonic coaching told Tyla: "Wind wands are used to remove sulfites, which are a food preservative from wine. Sulfites are a chemical compound used to improve the appearance taste and shelf life of wine and other products.

"According to UK Healthline most people can consume sulfites with minimal side effects, but for a small number, consuming wine with a high concentration of sulfites was linked to a greater risk of headaches.

"It appears that wine wands are being marketed to suggest that they eliminate headaches and hangovers from wine but that is not the case. Essentially, they are designed to remove a preservative."

She continued: "This means if you used them and they were effective you would still be left with a glass of wine, with the preservatives removed but with the alcohol intact.

"You may avoid additional impacts from the preservative - for example if you are allergic to sulfites but you are still consuming the alcohol – with all the harmful impacts of alcohol intact."

Wine wands claim to filter out all histamines and sulfites. (

In summary, the wine wand does not remove the alcohol or any of the harmful effects of the alcohol. If you want to avoid the harmful effects of alcohol in wine, it's probably best to choose an alcohol-free wine or another non-alcoholic drink.
