McDonald's Customers Devastated Over Removal Of Beloved Breakfast Items

We're actually sobbing.

The hearts of McDonald's fans across the country shattered today when the fast food chain confirmed two of its beloved breakfast menu items are officially gone for good.

McDonald’s released a statement on its Instagram page on Monday, announcing that the delicious breakfast bagels and wraps will be removed from the menu permanently.

The statement, which was superimposed onto a collage of bagels and wraps, said: “It is with love and deep respect for one another that we announce that we are parting ways with Breakfast Bagels & Breakfast Wraps.

“Despite speculation and following a trial separation period, Breakfast Bagels & Breakfast Wraps will not be returning to the menu. We adore each other deeply but our love for the iconic McMuffin was simply too hard to ignore.”

The chain thanked it fans in the statement, which was intended to resemble a celebrity breakup announcement, refused to comment on rumours that there will be a new “breakfast bae” joining the menu later this year.

Fans were left heartbroken and rushed to the comments section to plead with McDonald’s to reconsider the break up.

“I didn’t even get to say a proper goodbye,” wrote one saddened fan.

Another McDonald’s customer said: “The bagels were the best.”

While a third shared: “Cheers 8am on a Monday morning the week’s ruined and the kids are crying, nice one.”

Both the bagels and the wraps were removed from the now reduced breakfast menu when McDonald’s opened its restaurants in May 2020 after they shut their doors because of the pandemic.

Many fans said they didn’t even get a chance to say adieu to their favourite McDonald’s item.

One fan reacted with: “Bruhhhh I’ve waited patiently without complaint for two years for my bagels and NOW you’re telling me they’re gone forever.”

Another commenter wrote: “They were the best items on the breakfast menu. The breakfast roll simply does not cut it and the bagel was always better than the McMuffin. One is not amused.”

And someone else chimed in, writing: “Bagels are better than the McMuffin. You’ve made a bad choice there.”
