Based on a true story, the film will follow the story of a Los Angeles based aspiring actor in the 1970s, and that of a serial killer embroiled in a years-long murder spree.

The lives of the two intersect when they’re cast for an episode of The Dating Game.

One person reacted on X: "So excited to see what Anna brings to the table! The trailer looks amazing!"

Another said: "This made me uncomfortable to watch, looks like a potential banger is on the table for Ms Kendrick's. I'll be watching for sure."

The film will stream on Netflix on 18 October.

More to follow.
