ITV confirms My Mum, Your Dad will return for a second series

Fans are buzzing at the news

We've all got some very good telly to look forward to with ITV finally confirming that My Mum, Your Dad will return for a second series.

In case you're unfamiliar with the concept, My Mum, Your Dad is a relationship show which sees single parents spend two weeks looking for love in a romantic countryside retreat.

The first episode of 10 aired just last month (11 September), and its clear viewers already can't get enough of it.

Dubbed a 'middle-age Love Island', this is the only show where single parents are helped on their dating journey by their grown up kids as they watch and guide them from a surveillance room down the road.

ITV took to X, formerly Twitter, this afternoon (16 October) to share the exciting news.

The tweet read: "The secret is out... Series 2 of My Mum, Your Dad UK has officially been confirmed!

"Applications are now open for grown-up kids to nominate their single parents, go, go, go!"

The caption accompanied a video of presenter Davina McCall revealing: "Guess what?

"We got a second series of My Mum, Your Dad!"

She then let out an excited gasp before adding: "So excited! Okay so applications are open head over to itv.com/beontv and I'll see you there!"

It's clear that fans are beyond thrilled with one Twitter user writing: "We absolutely loved this. Never seen Love Island, The Only way is Essex, or anything like that but loved this as it was people of my age and knowing how you feel at that age about relationships and what you are looking for. Thank you Davina!"

"I'm hyperventilating!!!!!" gushed a second.

A third added: "Need a follow up episode after series ends [to] show how couples are now months on after filming..."

My Mum, Your Dad is currently available to stream on ITVX.
