Molly Ringwald has revealed that ‘one person’ on The Secret Life of the American Teenager made her experience ‘the worst’.
The 58-year-old American actress opened up about filming the 2000s drama, during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Tuesday (4 August).
Ringwald played the role of Anne Juergens as a series regular for the first four seasons of the TV drama, before returning as a special guest star during the final season.
For those unfamiliar with the show, it was a teen drama created by Brenda Hampton and first premiered on ABC Family in 2008, running for five seasons before ending in 2013.

It starred Shailene Woodley as Amy Juergens, a teen girl who’s forced to figure out how to navigate life following an unexpected pregnancy, while Ringwald played her mum.
During her chat show appearance this week, the actress rated her filming experiences on a scale of one to 10, and brutally placed The Secret Life of the American Teenager as the lowest - a poor 1/10.

She told Andy Cohen, “That was it. The worst,” before clarifying that it was ‘one person’ who made things difficult.
Ringwald explained: “It was a hard - I mean, okay, I love the cast. I love Shailene; there were so many people I worked that were - there was one person that was really difficult. And I’m not going to say who that person is.”
Although she refused to name and shame the person, she said they brought her overall time on the programme ‘down to a one’. Ouch.
Alongside Woodley and Ringwald, the core cast of the show was made up of Daren Kagasoff, India Eisley, Ken Baumann, Mark Derwin, Megan Park and Francia Raisa, among others.

As for a movie she would rate highly, the star had nothing but good words to say about the 1986 film Pretty in Pink.
She played the lead role of Andie Walsh, a working-class high school senior who falls for a wealthy student, Blane (Andrew McCarthy).
She gushed: “That was pretty great. I’ll give that a 10. It was written for me.
“ I actually have like a collage that I made myself that's in the bedroom, and I love it. “And, I mean, except for the prom dress, I loved all my costumes.”
Her latest project is the rom-com One Night Only, a movie also starring Monica Barbaro and Callum Turner, which is due to hit cinemas on Friday (7 August).
