Last night's episode of Married At First Sight UK was a chaotic one indeed.

While a whole bunch of drama went down during the commitment ceremonies, it was one 'gross' question the relationship experts asked Adam that sparked some of the most outrage with Channel 4 viewers at home.

And now, a body language expert has spoken out on the extremely awkward question that left MAFS UK fans feeling beyond 'uncomfortable'.

It all kicked off when the experts - Paul C Brunson, Mel Schilling and Charlene Douglas - asked a very intimate question despite knowing Adam and Polly's history when it came to the bedroom.

In last night's episode (2 October), Paul made the statement: "Let's just call it what it is, Polly you're physically attracted to your husband. Adam you're not physically attracted to your wife."

Mel then cut straight to the explicit question: "Do you wanna sh*g her?"

The experts called Adam out after he 'avoided the question' and the whole ordeal hasn't gone unnoticed with viewers at home.

Speaking on behalf of Slingo, body language expert, Darren Stanton, has analysed the exchange and revealed that Adam felt 'a lot of pressure at being put on the spot' when asked if he 'fancied' Polly.

"Polly is sat there looking mortified as if she isn’t even there while Adam and the experts discuss the situation," he continued.

"She seems to have a very vulnerable side to her. Even if she gets annoyed or pulls a face, I can’t really imagine her kicking off, whereas Adam seems to say what he thinks and doesn’t seem to engage his mind properly on how it might come across."

Noting that Polly looked 'very uncomfortable' to be in that situation, the expert hit out: "She likes him, but he is not into her.

"No matter how much the experts try to drag it out, the chemistry is just not there, and it has not developed. You can’t make someone like someone else, it doesn’t work like that."

He added that putting Adam 'on the spot like that' seemed 'highly inappropriate'.

"It should have been kept private, which is why Polly looks completely mortified," Darren explained to Tyla.

He also claimed that Polly felt she couldn’t get emotional as 'she didn’t want to drop her facade and strong sense of self which she has been developing'.

"Adam has not done a great job to reassure her and build that rapport, we’ve not seen any escalation in the relationship, it’s quite dead in the water," the expert weighed in.

The whole exchange led Darren to believe that he doesn't think their relationship 'has a future' based on what we’ve seen so far.

Married at First Sight UK airs every Monday to Thursday at 9.00pm on E4.
