Married At First Sight Fans Praise Show For First Gay Contestants

As E4's first episode of Married At First Sight UK airs, fans praise the show's inclusion of its first ever gay couple.

The fans flooded the show with positive comments.

One tweeter wrote: "Wow! Watching the first gay couple on married at first sight after celebrating pride weekend in Manchester makes me so happy #MAFSUK".

Someone else tweeted out: "Actually love that there is a Homosexual couple in this season.. well done MAFS".

The new couple includes Daniel, 27, who works in sales in Northern Ireland.

In his introduction, spiritual Daniel is infectiously positive, and is looking for someone to have deep, honest chats with about the meaning of life.

He's also outdoorsy, and wants to be with someone who shares his passion for hiking, meditation, cold water swims and vegetarian living.

As a result, he's looking for someone open minded, who shares his passion for the going on adventures and taking in the world around him.

Could that be his match? Cue Matt, 39, who works for a charity in West Yorkshire.

Following a messy break up, Matt was left feeling heartbroken and decided to jump into the experiment in order to re-discover himself.

Matt now feels like he’s ready to love again, and it’s time to find The One.

After his dad got diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2004, Matt quit his corporate career and focused his work in the cancer charity sector. The experience left him with a huge appreciation for life.

As a highly outgoing person with lots of hobbies, including going to choir practice and performing in a Take That tribute band, Matt is willing to give up his time for the right person.

Matt would like someone who wants the same things and somebody to grow old with.
