Let’s Marry Harry star Harry Jowsey was handed ban because of uncontrollable behaviour during filming

Producers on a hit new reality show on Netflix had to step in to curb the amount of kissing that was going on on set, the show's star has admitted.

The show follows Australian influencer Harry Jowsey, and puts a new spin on formats like The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, in which one eligible person chooses a fiancée from a group of contestants.

Streaming on Netflix, the show plays out over eight episodes, with Jowsey narrowing down 20 women with the advice of friend Sonny Henty, his ex Georgia Hassarati, and presenter Amanda Kloots.

It's far from the first time that Jowsey has taken to the screen in a reality TV show, with his other outings including appearances on Love Island Australia, Dancing with the Stars, and Too Hot to Handle.

But this is the first time that Jowsey is at the centre of his own TV show, and now he has opened up about how the amount of kissing that was going on ended up with producers having to step in to cool things down on set.

Speaking to Page Six, he said: “There was one moment when I was on set, and they were like, ‘Alex said [to] stop kissing all the girls'.

“I was getting a bit active. They needed to rein me in.”

He added: “It was a lot. They’re always trying to pull you for a chat, and I’m the only one. So, it was a lot the whole time.”

The first seven episodes of the show were released on Netflix on August, but fans will have to wait until the finale drops on August 12 to find out who he eventually chooses.

But if comments from his friend and confidante Sonny Henty are anything to go by, there could be more controversy ahead.

Henty previously indicated to Swooon that he may not approve of the show's conclusion, though he remained tight-lipped about specifics.

“I just don’t think it was the right idea," he said. "I don’t think whoever was the winner, or the chosen, or if there was one, was the right one.”

It's not the first time that Henty seemingly hasn't approved of his pal's choices either.

After Jowsey saved one contestant but had to send another home, Henty previously said on the show: “I hated it. It was one of my biggest fights with everyone because I know what’s best for him, and I was being overridden by Harry, and it sort of made me powerless.

"It was a decision that I think we shouldn’t have been allowed to give him. Yeah, I didn’t like it.”

Jowsey has insisted that he is trying to put his previous ways behind him, saying he had been 'playing a bigger character' when he made his debut on reality TV, but has now changed in the years since then.

He said: “That was four years ago. I guess I hadn’t done anything to redeem myself since. I’ve done the work in private time, in private life.”
