"It’s violent and kind of irredeemable at times, but it makes you look; it’s scary. It’s confronting."

Talking some more about the film, which is based on the hard-hitting 2011 memoir, The Chronology of Water, by writer Lidia Yuknavitch, Stewart said: "It is about incest and periods and a woman violently repossessing her voice and body, and it is, at times, hard to watch ... but it’s gonna be a f*cking thrill ride."

Consider me sold.

She added: "I think people would want to see that, but then ... I think maybe people wanna watch movies about, like, Jesus and dogs."

The Charlie's Angels actor added of her role in the movie: "I kind of feel like, in the most dramatic moments of your life, it does get hilarious. ... It’s an odd mix of tones.

"That’s why Rose is so f*cking good. You’d think that would be clunky."

It seems people are loving the film so far after Love Lies Bleeding climbed its way up to an impressive 94 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes which is one of her most highest-scoring movies on the reviews aggregate site.
