Ulrika Jonsson sparks feud with 'feisty' comment about Holly Willoughby quitting This Morning

Ulrika Jonsson sparks feud with 'feisty' comment about Holly Willoughby quitting This Morning

She didn't seem too bothered by the ITV star's departure

Holly Willoughby quit This Morning yesterday and it seems the people of the internet are already having their say on the situation.

Tributes all over have since flooded in from fans, celebs and fellow This Morning stars after Holly, 42, revealed her departure after 14 years presenting the show.

However, not everyone seems to be torn up about the situation including the likes of 56-year-old Swedish-British television presenter and model, Ulrika Jonsson, who has since posted 'feisty' comment about Holly announcing her exit from the daytime programme.

The ITV star released a statement on the matter to Instagram yesterday (10 October) confirming the news.

It begins: "I have let ITV know today that after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning."

"To everyone who has ever worked on the show over the years, thank you so so much," she continued.

"This is such a difficult goodbye, you are incredible and I forever will be proud of what we've done together.

"Thank you to everyone at ITV for being supportive. To every guest who has sat on our sofa, thank you.

"Most of all, thank you to the wonderful viewers. You've been so loyal, so supportive and the very best company every day.

"Richard and Judy said 'We only look after this show, it will always belong to the viewers'."

Holly went on: "It's been an honour to just be part of it's story and I know this story has many chapters left to go. Sadly, however, I now feel I have to make this decision for me and my family.

"I will miss you all so much. Holly."

Popular Instagram meme page, The Archbishop of Banterbury, took to platform yesterday to share a video posted to X of a Wilko employee dramatically walking around a totally empty store with no items on the shelves to be seen.

The tweet read: "Holly Willoughby walking round the This Morning studio."

The Archbishop of Banterbury captioned the repost: "End of an era."

While dozens upon dozens of social media users rushed in to leave a response - it appears there was one particular comment that really caught the attention of the internet.

Ulrika penned: "Or end of an error….."

Unsurprisingly, it received a handful of reactions from fans eager to share their views on the comment which, at the time of writing, has clocked up over 160 likes.

A few commented a barrage of cry laughing emojis, with one Instagram user praising: "Love that you've turned up and dropped an absolutely perfect comment."

"Oooh!" piped up a second. "Ulrika-ka-ka-ka that was a feisty comment haha."

The bombshell announcement comes after it was revealed that Holly was set to go on 'indefinite leave' from This Morning after learning about an alleged plot to kidnap her.

Holly's departure also comes a good few months after her former co-host Phillip Schofield left the show in May and later admitted to having an affair with a younger colleague.
