Though the Harry Potter movie series sadly came to an end 13 years ago, fans of the much-loved film franchise are still banging on about a deleted scene they believe should have been included in the final instalment.

And annoyingly, the scene in question starred loveable bad-boy, Draco Malfoy.

Throughout the entire series, as well as the original JK Rowling novels, one of the central villains - other than Lord Voldemort, of course - was the blonde-haired youngster.

Ever since titular character Harry Potter's (played by Daniel Radcliffe's) first day at Hogwarts, the Slytherin bad boy has made his life a living hell.

We learn pretty soon that Draco's hatred of all good things has been inherited by his father, Lucius, who himself was a death eater and loyal servant to the Dark Lord.

And whilst he simply takes on the role as a mean-spirited antagonist during his school years, the sixth movie sees an increasingly troubled Draco join the dark side, officially.

He sneaks death eaters into the school using the Vanishing Cabinet, and is recruited by Voldemort to murder Dumbledore.

Thankfully, however, there are a handful of moments during the final two-part movie that see Hogwarts' biggest antagonist attempting to redeem himself.

Thankfully, he chickens out of using Avada Kedarvra on his headmaster when the time comes.

When the Room of Requirement sets ablaze during the ultimate battle of Hogwarts, he also expresses gratitude towards 'frenemy' Harry for saving him.

And when the final fight kicks off between the goodies and the baddies, the entire Draco family can be seen fleeing the warfare, having seemingly turned their backs on Voldemort's cause.

Tragically, however, there's another scene which was sadly axed from the final movie by producers, which gave wannabe hero Draco some more air time.

The scene was taken from when the Slytherin students were locked up in the dungeons by Filch, and leads us to believe that Draco may possibly have been responsible for their escape.

The scene - produced by Warner Bros - eventually emigrated to social media, where some Potterheads refused to believe what they'd missed out on.

"Why do all the draco redemption scenes get deleted 😭✋🏻" one penned online.

A second viewer commented: "We needed more draco scenes…we were ROBBED."

And a third shook fan simply added: "I SCREAMED 😳".

Another furious TikTok user wrote: "WE WERE ROBBED Draco had so many redeeming qualities in the last movies and they did NOTHING for him😤🤬😭."

Other Harry Potter fans were confused, commenting that the 'deleted' scene had always been in the film - though maybe this is because the moment that Draco apparates into the dungeons to grab his pals does actually appear in the movie.

"Am I the only one who has seen this in the movie?" asked one viewer.

A second wrote: "oh this wasn’t a deleted scene it was in my movie".

Another Potterhead wrote: "Idk if it’s just me but I remember watching it and this scene being in the movie🤨 it did I watch the extended one?"

And a fourth chimed in: "Same lol mine has all of the deleted scenes and I didn't know they were deleted until recently."

The theory among Potterheads is that the scene was scrapped because, in the original novel, the Slytherin students were never locked up in dungeons for the Battle of Hogwarts.

Rather, when none of the Slytherin students wanted to stay and fight for their school, they were evacuated from the premises.

Thus, Draco's moment ended up on the cutting room floor - unless, of course, you're lucky enough to have your hands on the extended cut!
