According to a whole host of huge-name stars, making a guest appearance on the sitcom Friends after it sky-rocketed to global success in the late 90s became something of a bucket list item.
The likes of Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Robin Williams, Charlie Sheen, Isabella Rossellini, Susan Sarandon, Danny DeVito, Winona Ryder, Ben Stiller and Brooke Shields all rocked up for an episode each.
Meanwhile, some A-listers took on minor roles that would last a season or two, like Reese Witherspoon and Christina Applegate who played Rachel's sisters 'Amy' and 'Jill', and Bruce Willis, who played the father role 'Paul' of Ross' much-younger girlfriend Elizabeth.
According to one star, however, the opportunity to appear on Friends alongside central six characters was one she'd come to deeply regret.

Here's a hint: she's a musician performed one of her own songs on the episode 'The One With The Baby on the Bus', from season two.
We are, of course, talking about Chrissie Hynde, the iconic lead singer of The Pretenders.
The rocker played Phoebe's rival coffee-house singer, famously performing her legendary rendition of 'Angel of the Morning' during the ep. After making amends, the instalment ends with the twosome belting out Phoebe's feline number 'Smelly Cat'.
Speaking to The Guardian this week, Hynde looked back at her appearance on the show, which she says was predominantly spurred by it slowly accumulating fans during its early days.
Little did she know, that the comedy would become a cult classic for many.

"I’d never heard of it, but Warners were putting out an album to accompany this new show and asked me for a song, 'Angel of the Morning'," the 74-year-old claimed. "Then Friends asked me if I could sit in the background in a coffee shop playing it.
"I got to go to LA for a week and see my friend but I didn’t know they’d written a whole part for me. Then Friends was on the cover of every American magazine. I thought: 'Oh f**k, this is gonna be big'."
Of the regret, however, Hynde went on to reveal that despite her own mega success in the music biz, to her children's friends, she's still predominantly known for appearing on the show.
"I always regretted it because until then I could take my kids to school and nobody knew who I was," she joked. "Afterwards, all the kids were saying: 'Your mom’s on Friends!'."

Thankfully, however, the singer went on to reiterate that the filming experience was much more pleasant, praising the central six - Jennifer Aniston ('Rachel Green'), Courtney Cox ('Monica Geller'), Lisa Kudrow ('Phoebe Buffay'), Matthew Perry ('Chandler Bing'), Matt Le Blanc ('Joey Tribbiani ')and David Schwimmer ('Ross Geller') - as 'really nice'.
Well, you win some, you lose some.
