A brand-new trailer for the upcoming third season of Euphoria has just landed.

In the trailer for the season, which also features Zendaya, Alexa Demie, Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, Maude Apatow, and Jacob Elordi, HBO offers fans a glimpse of Eric Dane's final acting performance before his passing earlier this year in February.

The Grey's Anatomy star sadly died aged 53 after announcing last April that he had been diagnosed with ALS, a degenerative form of motor neurone disease.

Just a matter of days after the announcement last year, Dane confirmed he would be filming the third instalment of the famed TV programme, much to the surprise of fans.

Dane starred as the Jacobs family patriarch, Cal, in the Emmy-winning drama, Euphoria.

The teaser, which was released yesterday (30 March), sees Cal reuniting with Jules (Schafer), the former high schooler he had a one-night stand with back in the first season.

"Remember me?" Jules asks as she approaches Cal, who is standing at a bar, before he replies: "How could I forget?"

IMDb reports that Dane appears in all eight episodes of the upcoming season.

After catching light of the trailer, fans rushed to social media to share their reactions with one Instagram user asking: "Wait, he’s in season 3?!??!?"

"I'm gonna cry when I see him on my screen," confessed a second as a third chimed in: "At least I get to see him in season 3!"

A fourth lamented: "Oh Eric."

"Seeing ts is gonna make me cry knowing he's not with us anymore," penned a fifth as another echoed: "I'm gonna be sobbing."

And a final Instagram user added: "RIP Eric."

In an interview with PEOPLE back in April last year, Dane, who is survived by his wife, Rebecca Gayheart, and their two daughters, Billie and Georgia, explained: "I feel fortunate that I am able to continue working and am looking forward to returning to the set of Euphoria next week.

"I kindly ask that you give my family and I privacy during this time."

After season two wrapped up in 2022, Dane took the opportunity to praise the show and his co-stars.

"There aren’t words to describe how much I love the show," he told Variety.

"These kids — I’m calling them kids, can you believe that?" Dane added. "These young adults are so talented. It blows me away every time I watch their work."

Levinson shared a tribute following Dane's passing, saying he was 'heartbroken' by the news.

He told Variety in a statement: "I'm heartbroken by the loss of our dear friend Eric. Working with him was an honour. Being his friend was a gift."

Euphoria season three is officially scheduled to premiere on April 12th.
