A comedian who was heckled by a man in the crowd did something totally unexpected, and left the audience lost for words.

There are countless times we have seen comedians get roasted by some individual who either wants to get a response back or genuinely doesn’t like the show.

Through those times, we’ve seen said comedians display their heckle material, which is either hilarious, or scathing.

So, when comedian Natalie Cuomo was closing out her weekend shows in Washington D.C and someone decided to heckle her, there was no way for the audience to know that it was going to go south- and fast.

In a video posted to TikTok on 3 February, Natalie can be seen joking with a 'little man' who began to make comments about her performance after she suggested that he was in a relationship with his friend.

He said to her: "It's not my fault that you don't have material. I can roast you too, you can't roast all of us and get nothing."

Natalie first kept her cool as she asked whether he was offended that he was being called gay as a joke.

However, when he told her that he could always take the mic, she got down to his level and shouted in his face: “There's so many people coming together to be supportive and you’re putting negative- No, look me in the eyes! You’re putting negative f***ing energy out there!

“This is the last show of my f***ing weekend, look me in the f***ing eyes! It’s a sold out show and you want to say mean s*** to me? Don’t f***ing do that!”

Then, she got back up and composed herself, telling the man: "You can leave."

However, once he man left, she noticed that his friend was texting him, and she also invited him to leave too.

When he didn’t move, she reached down and took his mobile and read the text messages.

Natalie read it out: “Lol what a f***ing clown. I did warn you I would get kicked out. Man, she is sensitive, especially for a comedian.”

So, to respond to the text, she took a photo of herself flipping him off and sent it to him.

Her response left people completely unable to speak, and it absolutely divided the internet.

One commented on TikTok: "Comedians that can’t take a joke is actually so cringe," while another added: "Half of me loves this. The other half notices that other comedians use their quick wit and demolish hecklers with jokes. Not yelling at them," while another said that 'he won' through her reaction.

On X, others took over and gave their two cents.

One person wrote: “Dude probably peed his pants. Bad**s Natalie!”

Another said: “Why didn't she try to be funny to get back at him?”

Someone else commented: “She rocks! If you're that much of a fragile man why go to a comedy show full knowing you might get roasted. What a drop kick.”
