Singer Lola Young took to TikTok to highlight how simply breathing ‘feels like a chore’ due to her vaping habit.
The Grammy winner described her lungs as feeling ‘battery powered’, while previously admitting she ‘should quit’.
However, if her latest post is anything to go by it doesn’t look like she’ll be doing so anytime soon – despite vocal coaches such as Lizzii Hills advising against singers vaping.
She told the BBC, “Somebody once said to me, 'Lola there will be a day when you wake up, you'll be 25 or 26, from a deep sleep, and you'll start to feel the effects of vaping'," the Messy singer said in her post.

"You know what I said? I said 'nah' and rolled my eyes.

"But let me tell you something, the day has come."
A review of more than 80 studies carried out by The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health found that vaping was linked to higher rates of breathing problems.
Mental problems, poor sleep, eye symptoms, bad teeth, coughing and wheezing were all found to be linked to vaping also.
Young backed this up in her post: "Breathing feels like a chore, it feels like hard work, it feels like I should be paid for breathing. It feels like there will be no tomorrow."

NHS advice states vaping can be less harmful than smoking but notes it is too early to know what other dangers there are in the habit.
Single use vapes were banned earlier in the year in an attempt by the government to make the pastime less attractive.
From Thursday a new duty will be imposed on e-cigarette liquid - adding £2.20 per 10ml.

Hills said, “Vaping may not affect the voice box just itself, it affects the lungs, the airways, the throat - it's all respiratory, it's all connected. So doing that can affect your vocal technique.”
She explained that breathing is ‘really important’ and how singing requires controlled inhalation and sustained, efficient exhalation: "You end up trying harder, putting in more effort for the same results you were getting beforehand."
She adds that when artists struggle with their voice, it can have significant psychological impacts on them too.
"They can feel like they've lost themselves," she says. "It can become quite a big deal emotionally. As a performer, as an artist, you want to stay in the best health you can for your voice to work at its best.
"We all know it's not the healthy choice and if you can avoid it - absolutely."
