Reason why Eva Mendes doesn’t post husband Ryan Gosling or their kids on social media

While we're all talking about high-profile couples and their family photographs, have you ever noticed that Eva Mendes never posts about husband Ryan Gosling?

You'll never find photographs of Ryan on Eva's page, or of their two children - and there's a really good reason why.

Eva and Ryan - who met in 2011 while working on The Place Beyond The Pines have two children together, Esmeralda, nine, and Amada, seven.

But the pair are very private about their family life, with Eva previously explaining that keeping things under wraps works for them as a family.

Back in 2020, during the coronavirus pandemic, Eva shared a photo of a René Magritte piece of art.

“During these times, I’m so confused about what to post, so I’m going to post things that move me in hopes that they move you as well," she said.

“Since I don’t post about my immediate family, and it feels so wrong to post about work, here you go."

After sharing, one follower asked Eva why she never shares photos of her family.

She explained: “I have always had a clear boundary when it comes to my man and my kids. I’ll talk about them of course, with limits, but I won’t post pictures of our daily life.

“And since my children are still so little and don’t understand what posting their image really means, I don’t have their consent.

"And I won’t post their image until they’re old enough to give me consent. As far as Ryan and I, it just works for us this way, to stay private.”

Although they remain private, fans do get a sweet glimpse into their relationship from time to time.

For example, on Sunday, fans were loving Ryan's gesture to Eva during his Oscars performance of 'I'm Just Ken'.

Taken from his 2023 movie Barbie - in which he starred alongside Margot Robbie - the song instantly became a hit with fans.

Following the performance, Gosling kissed a Barbie-themed 'E' charm necklace, which stands for Eva.

While fans all over gushed over the iconic performance, it's clear there is no greater fan than Eva, who also posted an adorable tribute to her hubby on Instagram.

"You took Ken all the way to the Oscars, RG," she wrote, adding: "Now come home, we need to put the kids to bed."
