This Morning’s Emma Kenny has revealed she’s given birth after a decade of trying to conceive.

In a touching update on social media, the TV psychologist shared the surprise news and explained why she’d kept the pregnancy a secret.

Like all proud parents though, the mum also uploaded plenty of baby pictures for fans to gush over.

Taking time away from TV, the presenter spoke about her joy at welcoming a little girl to her family.

Gushing about her newborn in the caption, the 50-year-old wrote: “I’ve waited 10 years to finally hold you in my arms. With every miscarriage I tried to learn to be grateful and accepting of what I had.

“I tried to dampen my desire to be a mother to another child, to find peace in my natural infertility and yet it felt so unnatural all in the same moment.”

During the heartfelt post, the This Morning psychologist also revealed she’d spent her pregnancy ‘hiding’ – fearing that she’d miscarry again.

Reflecting on the last nine months, Kenny said that she ‘distracted’ herself ‘from the growing hope’ by busying herself with her theatre tour, true crime podcast and other projects.

Thankfully, little Etta-Blue arrived safe and sound on July 30 around 12:50 am.

She added: “I feel a blindsiding giddy glee knowing you finally decided to announce your presence in a way that none of us could ignore.”

In another sweet moment, the mum described her young daughter and wrote: “Your beauty is breathtaking, your company perfect, your presence utterly profound… Etta-Blue, you have healed more than you’ll ever know.”

Kenny then also shared several photos of her beautiful bubba and her husband Pete – who also looked elated.

In the comments, fans showered the little one with compliments.

Among those welcoming the newborn was S Club’s Jo O'meara, who wrote: “How beautiful! Congratulation Emma.”

Former Atomic Kitten Natasha Hamilton then wrote: “Wow what wonderful news! Huge congratulations.”

Her colleague, This Morning’s Josie Gibson, also sent warm wishes and commented: “OMG! Awww Emma. I’m so made up for you.”

Some of Kenny’s 35,000 followers also congratulated the This Morning contributor with one writing: "Emma, that's amazing news. We saw you in Halifax a few weeks ago and we did wonder if you were expecting! Thrilled to bits for you, congrats to you and your family.”

Having also just finished her UK tour, the mum will have her hands full as she also has two teenage sons from a previous relationship.

Congratulations Emma and Pete!
