Harrison Ford was caught accidentally interrupting his co-star’s speech with a hilarious snack blunder during the 31st SAG Awards, which took place in Los Angeles over the weekend (23 February).

This year's ceremony opened with its annual 'I Am an Actor' introduction, where stars share a little insight with fans about their big breaks in the Hollywood industry.

In the opener, Shrinking actress Jessica Williams, 35, said to the camera: "Los Angeles is known as the city of dreams and sure enough all my dreams have come true here."

However, as Williams started her next sentence, Ford, 82, could be seen putting a crisp in his mouth before realising he was also on camera, prompting him to slowly remove it, which sparked an eruption of laughs from the audience.

After clocking what was going on behind her, Williams looked at Ford before exclaiming: "I told him to turn away!"

“Don’t look!" she joked as the crowd continued to laugh over the side-splitting situation.

Finishing up her speech, the Fantastic Beasts star concluded: "From my dream of preparing in a Starbucks bathroom before an audition to my dream of crying in a Del Taco bathroom afterwards. But more than just a dream factory, this city has always been my home.

"I am Jessica Williams. I'm LA born and bred, and I am an actor."

She then turned to Ford and jokingly shook him as they burst into laughter together.

Ford and Williams play two therapists in Apple TV+’s Shrinking, which was nominated for two awards at the SAG Awards including Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series for Ford and Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

The first award was taken home by Martin Short for Only Murders in the Building, which also cinched the latter accolade.

Fans couldn't wait to share their reaction to the funny interaction between Ford and Williams, with one X user writing: "The way Harrison Ford was casually eating without realising he was on camera was hilarious."

"It’s the lil playful throwing hands at the end for me," gushed a second, while a third chimed in: "Love her and love them together (and the whole cast)."

A fourth quipped: "love how he kept eating with his back to her."

"That moment was pure gold!" beamed another, while a final X user added: "Omg now I need to see these two in a movie, show, scene, WHATEVER (!!!) together!"
