There's nothing worse than finding out your favourite makeup product has been discontinued, and you're left using it until the bitter end before having to admit defeat and find a replacement.

Luckily Rihanna's Fenty makeup line has answered our prayers (or maybe got sick of listening to our tears of despair?) after it launched a new and improved version of a fan favourite.

Fenty's Soft'Lit Naturally Luminous Longwear Foundation.

Fans were devastated when the Pro Filt'r Hydrating Longwear Foundation mysteriously disappeared from shelves, with devotees begging Rhi to bring the cult classic back.

And now it seems their prayers have been answered with the beauty boss's latest launch, which hit stores just last week.

Designed to leave our skin looking refreshed and plumped, the new and improved Soft'Lit Naturally Luminous Longwear Foundation comes in 50 shades and has a colour match for every skin tone as well as promising to brighten and give an even perfect finish.

The new range comes in 50 shades.

The new foundation comes with kakadu plum extract, which contains antioxidants to help brighten the skin tone and Cyperus papyrus leaf cell extract, which helps with maintaining all-day hydration.

Like lots of the Fenty products bearing Rihanna's name and seal of approval, this latest foundation is designed to last.

It's waterproof, sweatproof and transfer proof and promises not crease or fade throughout the day so you can be sure that it will still look great at 7pm (even if you applied it at 7am).

The foundation comes with "colour-true" pigments that are designed to resist oxidation, giving it an even finish hours after applied.

The new and improved hydrating foundation comes from Rihanna's Fenty line.

The brand advises using the foundation on moisturised skin and to shake the bottle before applying direct to the skin or with a brush for the perfect finish.

The product can be built up from medium to full coverage, depending on whether you use one or two pumps and promises a hydrated and glowing base - perfect for applying the rest of your makeup onto.

Rihanna announced the new launch on Instagram (where else?!), and it turns out we're not the only ones excited for this makeup essential to land...

One person wrote: "OMG OMG OMGGGG this summer we bout to be soft LIT".

"WAITTT BUT IS IT GONNA HAVE THE SAME HYDRATING FINISH AND GLOWYNESS THAT THE OG ONE HAD???! PLSS TELL ME ITS THE SAME FORMULA OR EVEN BETTER!!!" gushed another excited makeup fan.

A third shared: "A @fentybeauty glow is just top tier".

The Soft'Lit Naturally Luminous Longwear Foundation is now available in 50 shades on the Fenty website and on Sephora now.
