It's the duet we've all been waiting for, and Wicked duo Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo certainly didn't disappoint while kicking off this year's Oscars with a stellar performance.

The performance began with Glinda actress Grande belting out 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow' from The Wizard of Oz, before Elphaba star Erivo took over with a jaw-dropping rendition of 'Home', from the 'Oz'-inspired musical The Wiz.

The pair then went on to perform 'Defying Gravity' - the magical musical's most famous anthem.

As we say, the moment has far from disappointed viewers watching from home.

Taking to social media, one gushed: "Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande-Butera Oscars medley ending and restoring lives".

Another added: "Shiverssss omggggggg cynthia x ariana performing Defying Gravityyyyy".

"This opening performance from Ariana Grande & Cynthia Erico?! Nothing short of magical. I’m emotional. Wow" a third continued.

Another fan went on: "I’m legitimately crying. Whoa. That was a moment of a lifetime watching Cynthia and Ariana opening the #Oscars2025."
