Love Island's Mitch Taylor and Abi Moores spark romance rumours after cryptic video

Romance could be brewing once again between two Love Island contestants if this viral video is anything to go by.

Mitch Taylor and Abi Moores, who both took part in the 2023 series of the ITV2 dating show, unexpectedly attended The Sun's Who Cares Wins awards together on Tuesday (19 September).

Fans believe that the two contestants, who are known for their, let’s say, 'complicated' history, have reconciled as they were spotted on the red carpet.

But the evening’s festivities didn’t end on the red carpet apparently, as both Abi, 25, and Mitch, 26, filmed a TikTok that even has a Kardashian reference thrown in for good measure, just in case fans didn't catch the very obvious hint.

In the five-second clip, the former Islanders pose together in what looks like a bathroom, as their lip sync a line from the trailer for the new season of The Kardashians.

“Okay guys, we’re back - did you miss us? Cause we miss you," the pair lip synch. Fans rushed to the comments to debrief about what exactly they're trying to tell us...

“I knew Abi would be having a field day after Mitch and Ella [Barnes] broke up and I’m here for the drama.”

Another fan declared: “And this is why the [Love Island] reunion should happen at least 6 months later.”

A third noticed: “THEY POSTED THIS ON ELLA B BIRTHDAY.”

While a fourth commented: “We all knew all that arguing was because they still liked each other.”

Another Love Island viewer warned: ‘Abbey[sic] don’t fall for it again.”

“FINALLY this is where he belongs and he knew it,” another said.

Mitch and Abi’s reconciliation comes after he said the pair were back on ‘good terms’ in an episode of the Not My Bagg podcast in August.

She hinted that the pair might not have shut the door completely, explaining: “After I had my little bit to say [at the reunion]... Mitch actually came and spoke to me and we were fine… we actually are getting on really well.”

She continued: “Obviously, we had a good connection… so we could have a friendship, I’m open to having a friendship with him, we get on well.”

Abi and Mitch coupled up in week five at the end of Casa Amor. The following week, Ella B chose to take Mitch on a date and later that day she chose to couple up with him, which created a massive love triangle.

Abi was left single until she coupled up with Scott van-der-Sluis. Mitch, who entered the villa as an OG, was dumped from the island along with Ella B after receiving the fewest public votes that week. They remained together outside of the villa for a little while until they confirmed they had parted ways in August, around a month after leaving the show.

In a statement confirming the split, Ella B said: “Unfortunately myself and Mitch have decided to end our relationship. I really wanted things to work out and I'm gutted that our journey has come to an end.'

“I wish Mitch all the best and hope he finds happiness. It's time for both of us to start a new chapter.”
