Timothée Chalamet has left fans disappointed after dropping a huge hint that he won't be attending the Met Gala with girlfriend Kylie Jenner.
Many were hoping that tonight's big bash could mark the couple's red carpet debut, given that both have attended independently before and served up some very strong looks.
The pair have been to high profile events together - including at this year's BAFTAs - but they've never walked a carpet together and posed for pics.
However, earlier in the evening, Chalamet posted a video on Instagram showing he was chilling in front of the TV watching 'French NBA analysis'.

He then shared a selfie with friends, smiling at the camera in a grey hoodie and cap - not hugely optimistic for anyone hoping he'd nail the 'Tailored For You’ theme.
Pop Base re-shared the photo on X, captioning the pic: "Timothée Chalamet shares new photo not at the Met Gala."
"'Not at the Met Gala,'" one quoted, adding two crying emojis.

Kylie's sister Kendall, meanwhile, rocked up wearing a grey blazer with plunging neckline and matching grey skirt, paired with a pair of stilettos and diamond choker - a look that left many fans making the same comparison.
“It’s giving business attire,” one said, with another agreeing: “It’s giving business meeting.”

A third wrote: “She thought it was a business meeting," and a fourth echoed: “Is she going to an office or met gala…”
And Jenner wasn’t the only one who seemed to take inspiration from the boardroom, with fans making a similar conclusion about Hailey Bieber's outfit.
“Her and Kendall attending a business meeting," one said.
Bieber, who attended without husband Justin, arrived wearing a black blazer dress with shoulder pads giving her an exaggerated frame – very Wall Street.
