Dakota Johnson and her mother, Melanie Griffith’s red carpet appearance had everyone saying the same thing.
Johnson and Griffith rarely go out together when it comes to the big events, and this surprise took a lot of people off guard.
The pair were there at the Los Angeles premiere of the movie Splitsville, which Johnson stars opposite Adria Arjona.
The 19 August screening saw Johnson suited up in a white blazer and matching trousers, and Johnson in a metallic silver strapless number.

The 35-year-old and her mother were seen posing for the photographers, and those images circulated online and left a lot of people shocked.
The last time the pair posed together was at the Boat Rocker & TeaTime Pictures screening of Slip in 2023.
People online who saw the images were all saying the same thing.

That they are identical.

Someone else wrote: “Mother supporting daughter!!.”

A fourth said: “Where the heck have I been?!! I never knew she was her mother! Wow, they’re beautiful.”
While her and her parents don’t meet up often at swanky events, they have been very supportive of her endeavours.
Johnson once explained that she was cut off financially by her father before her breakout role of Anna in 2015’s Fifty Shades of Grey in an interview with People: "There were a few times when I’d go to the market and not have money in my bank account or not be able to pay rent."
She added: "I’d have to ask my parents for help—I’m very grateful that I had parents that could help me and did help me."

She went on to say she had received warnings about the industry, and she told W Magazine in 2022: "I understood. They wanted me to have as much of a childhood as I could."
But she continued to pursue her dream, and it paid off.
Griffith was 14 when she met Dakota’s dad, Don Johnson, who’s eight years older when he starred in 1973’s The Harrad Experiment with her mother, Tippi Hedren.

“She fell almost instantly in love with him,” Tippi told People in 1989. “It was an adolescent crush.”
At 15, she moved in with him and they got engaged when she was 18 and eloped in Las Vegas in 1976.
“We thought it might work better if we were married. It didn’t,” She told People. “I got married in order to end the relationship.”
Sadly, their union was annulled.
After dating and getting back together in 1987, she became pregnant with Dakota in 1989, and they wed again.
“We’re just like an Ozzie and Harriet family down here,” Don told People, with Griffiths adding: “Everybody wants a girl.”
Sadly, the pair once again called it quits in 1996, but remain on good terms and continue to support their kids in their careers.
That same year, Griffiths married actor Antonio Banderas, having met when they met making the 1995 comedy Too Much.
Their daughter Stella arrived four months after their respective divorces were finalised.
The pair divorced in 2014.
